Make & Take Friday 22nd March

Well, would you believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

I have made this Fridays card already.

Well I actually made it at the weekend and today have finished 2 variations of it.

Craft Club night 14th June-Blowing Ink

Tonight we played around with blowing various inks around the page with a straw, the top one is the one that I made using alcohol inks, then I have stamped and embossed the swirls on top.

This one was made by Carole using Posh Rainbow inks.

Make & Take Friday 4th November

I used mirri card on this card and so you can see my hand reflection in it.

The stamp is one of the free ones that came with the Creative Stamping magazine.

Make & Take Friday September 30th

I have used Distress Stains for the background of the dragonfly,

just rub them over the image then spray with Glimmer Mist or Cosmic Shimmer and dab with a clean baby wipe.

Make & Take Friday 3rd June

This our card for this week. 

The ribbon at the side is double sided tape and then I placed the Spider web ribbon on top and then added glitter, the flowers have been dotted with glitter too.

Come along today and make this card up to 3.30pm.

Make & Take Friday 26th April.

Here is the card for the 26th April that I had forgotten, I have brayered on to glossy card then stamped and embossed with black ink and clear powder. I then took a water brush filled with bleach and bleached out the land areas. The stamp is an old one from Hero.

make & Take Friday 8th April.

A couple of different variations for this card, I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and rubbed a sponge over that was dabbed on an ink pad.

The background is a scrapbook 12 x 12 paper. Then added a stamped butterfly.

I have used a mottled background paper for the background and stamped the swirls at random using a brown dye ink.

Stamped and embossed the dragonfly image, sponged around the edge and mounted it on to brown card.

Make & Take Friday 29th Oct

Another technique idea this week. 

Stamp the words in Denim Adirondack ink and dry with a heat gun then use an anti static pad over it.

Now stamp an image using Versamark ink and emboss with clear powder.

Using a sponge, squeeze it so that it has a rounded top and sponge the Denim ink over the image starting in the centre and working outward each time you re-ink the sponge. Trim, and then sponge the edges.

Layer as desired, there are some more cards to follow using the same technique.

Make & Take Friday 4th September

This week I used some lace on our Friday card, it seems to be very much in fashion at the moment and today we have Ruth Demonstrating using the lace and her sewing machine - not necessarily together though.

The stamp is from a new set by Prima just £2.59 here at the shop, I have stamped and embossed it with the border from the same set, I have coloured it with a tiny dab of Distress ink or Adirondack ink and a tiny spot of Cosmic Shimmer powder mixed together with your water brush. The background is a scrapbook paper that I have sponged with the same colour Distress inks and Adirondack inks which are Dusty Concord and Cranberry.

Make & Take Friday 13th August

This card was very popular, The printed background a a technique called glue distress. I used a page from an old book and dotted PVA over it then spread it with my finger then dried it, the next step is to rub 2 or 3 colours of ink pads over the dried glue, then it is buffed with a clean tissue and the glue shows through and gives the distress look. I then tore it to the right size, then stamped and embossed the swirls with black ink and clear embossing powder, then sponged ink around the edges. Then just layered on to the lilac card and placed a stamped image on the top.

A gold embossed bunch of flowers. The background is peachy Bazzill that has been rubbed over with an ink pad then swirls have been stamped in the same colour.

Make & Take Friday 25th June

The background is a red and pink patterned paper that I have stamped a few stamps over at random then embossed them.

I ran a piece of pink linen textured card through the cuttlebug to emboss it and then ran an ink pad over the de-bossed side and cut it up into 3cm squares and mounted them on to black card then on to burgundy card and on to black again, added a bow and a swirl and greeting.

A lovely black and white card the white card in the background has been stamped in black ink, the black card has been stamped with Versamark and embossed with clear powder, I think this is a lovely effect without being over-powering.

I stamped this image in Versafine Black and embossed it with clear powder then to colour the image I used Artists Pastelles just scribbling them on then rubbing with a soft tissue to create the background colour.
