Workshop Monday 27th July embossing folder backgrounds.

Here are 3 cards for tomorrows workshop. I am also including the 4 from Friday as they are made with the same technique which is putting Distress Stains on to an embossing folder spraying with water and pressing card on to it.

Make & Take Friday 30th May

The background has been made by putting Distress stains on to an embossing folder and spray with water or my trusty old mica spray then press the card on top of it.
I made it in slightly different colour ways.

Club Night 22nd May-Embossing folders

Last night at Club night we played with embossing folders, we used ink pads or stains on to the inside of the folder and then sprayed it with a mica spray then played some water colour paper on to it and just hand pressed it to pick up the colour.

Make & Take Friday 15th June

Here is the card that I have made for this weeks Make & Take.
For the flower I used Distress Stains sprayed with a gold mica spray
on a messy mat, and after I had stamped I then picked up the colour by just dipping it in the sains.
The background is a new embossing folder from Sheena Douglas.

Make & Take Friday 21st Oct

Using a brass rubbing effect with a wax candle on to the back of the folder then rub over with the Distress Stain and then wipe with a baby wipe, then heat with a heat gun this will dry it off and also makes the wax disappear into the card ready for stamping.
Come along on Sunday if you would like to try it.

Make & Take Friday 5th August

I found some tissue coasters at the Cash & Carry so I used them on this weeks card.
I just dragged over the coaster using Broken China Distress ink, then made sure that I only had the top layer as there were about 8 layers, and glued it on to a backing circle, I coloured the lace using Broken China Distress Stain, it is excellent for colouring your ribbon to match your card.

Make & Take Friday 22nd July

Here is this week's card, the background has been stamped using Versamark ink and embossed with clear powder. I have used a patterned paper at the left side and the coloured piece going across is a background that I have made using Distress Stains picking out the colours in the paper (yellow, Blue and red) Running them over white card and spraying with a Gold Mica Spray and dabbing with a baby wipe to blend them a little, the edge is punched using a Martha Stewart punch. Coloured using Lyra Aqua colours.

Make & Take Friday 10th June

On the card for this Friday I have used Distress Stains, just dabbing 3 colours on to a white card then I dabbed it with a baby wipe to blend them together and give a little texture, I then stamped and embossed the tulips then bleached them. I have used Sticky Mesh on the green card.
