Make & Take Friday 23rd March

The background on this card is made with old book pages.
Rip a couple of pages into small pieces about 50p size and glue on to a piece of white card,
overlapping the pieces, when the card is covered dry it off with a heat gun (not too close)
Now rub a water based dye ink pad over the card and the ink will just pick up on the overlapping bits,
Dry off, now brush over with a darker colour ink,
I used Distress inks in Victorian Velvet and Aged Mahogany.
Now take a little Perfect Pearl powder or Cosmic Shimmer powder and mix to a paste with water and just brush randomly over the paper background, this will give it a pearly shade in places.
If you would like to make this card for just £1.50 then come along today or Sunday between 10.30 and 3.30

Make & Take Friday 14th January

A couple of the girls who come regularly requested a mans' card for this week.
I first made the backgrounds by rubbing Adirondack and Distress inks on to a messy mat then sprayed with water that has Perfect Pearls blue mica powder added to it, then I dragged the card through it, the first sheet was covered completely and the second sheet was just picking up the remainder so it was more patchy, I have added sticky mesh in the corners and down the side of the background for added detail.
The lighthouse stamp is from Inkadinkado and the seagull is from Elusive Images.
