Make & Take Friday 18th May

All in blue using Stamscapes stamps, I have stamped the branch on the navy card using Versamark and embossed with clear powder, the main picture has been embossed after the picture was stamped by dabbing the Versamark ink pad all over and heating which gives a shine to it.

Make & Take Friday 22nd July

Here is this week's card, the background has been stamped using Versamark ink and embossed with clear powder. I have used a patterned paper at the left side and the coloured piece going across is a background that I have made using Distress Stains picking out the colours in the paper (yellow, Blue and red) Running them over white card and spraying with a Gold Mica Spray and dabbing with a baby wipe to blend them a little, the edge is punched using a Martha Stewart punch. Coloured using Lyra Aqua colours.

Make & Take Friday 1st April

This card would be ideal as a moving home card
but I have just left it with a general greeting.
The background has been stamped with Versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder, then sponged over with brown ink and polished with a clean piece of kitchen towel to make the embossing look a bit sharper.

More Liquid Pearls Cards

Here are 3 cards by the girls at Craft club

 Barbara
 Sarah
Vic

Craft Club Night 12th October

A Different way with Liquid Pearls.
I made this card for last night's Craft Club, the background is using Liquid Pearls.
The house stamp is from Elusive Images.
Take a piece of white card, any colour of Liquid Pearls and a piece of cling film.
Place a small amount of the Liquid Pearls on to a craft mat or acrylic block.
Scrunch up your cling film(you don't want it smoooth)
Now just pick up a little Liquid Pearls with the cling film and dab all over your white card but don't fill it completely, you can see in the following picture a little bit better on how much to cover your card.
Now take 2 or 3 different shades of ink pads( I like to use Adirondack or Distress inks)
and sponge gently around the edges using the lightest first and working out to the darkest.
You get a lovely pearly effect that can't be seen very well here.

Make and Take Friday 17th September

Back to a technique this week.
This ia called Acrylic Smash. I found the technique on Split Coast Stampers.
I cut a nestabilities shape with acetate and white card, then stamped the bird using black Stazon on to the acetate. Give it a few minutes to dry then turn it over, now drag or stipple with acrylic paint- I used Adirondack Dabbers. When it is covered completely, place the white card on the top of the paint and it will stick to it as long as you have put enough paint on. Then I just layered using Bazzill card and a patterned paper and lace.

Make and Take Friday 10th September

Quite an easy card for this week, I wanted to use some of the new paper that came in. Topped with an Elusive Images flower coloured with Pearl Ex colour Pallette

Make & Take Friday 2nd July

Our card this week is a black and white one. I used a Cupcake stamp to stamp the pattern at the side using the top of the stamp to make the printed lacy edge then trimmed it following the pattern.

Make & Take Friday 28th May

A good way to use up your small pieces of paper by using small squares and rectangles and layer them on to black card so that they all fit on to your base card with small borders. Then mount a central image. This is the same set of stamps that I used last week just using the bird in the tree this time stamped and embossed in a co-ordinating colour.

Make & Take Friday 21st May

This week we made a Step Ladder Card. Using a set of stamps from Elusive Images.

Make & Take Fri 14th May

I stamped this image in Versafine Black and embossed it with clear powder then to colour the image I used Artists Pastelles just scribbling them on then rubbing with a soft tissue to create the background colour.

Make & Take Fri 8th Jan 2010

I had quite a few pieces of card from when we were doing a Memories Mists workshop so I thought that I would use them up.
I just stamped the poppy stamp from Elusive Images and coloured them with Pearl-Ex Palette and layered them up, very pleased with the result, here are 3 versions of this card.
