Craft Club Night 14th September
I made this background from an idea on the Gina K blog, it works really well for men's cards. My instructions are a little different as we found it easier to score first.
The instructions are below.
The instructions are below.
First score your card appox every 1cm. I used 3/8"
Score the whole card or whatever size you need.
Using a piece of scrap paper covering one section at a time,
Take 2 different colours of ink and sponge the first section,
move the paper to cover the next section and sponge using the second colour, dont worry about going over the first section as the colours will blend together.
Carry on sponging the whole piece.
I have used Adirondack Denim and Butterscotch here.
Now using a nice flat sponge (I have used Cut & Dry) rub gently over with Sepia ink and this will darken the embossed lines. Here I have just sponged half the card.

Make and Take Friday 17th September
Back to a technique this week.
This ia called Acrylic Smash. I found the technique on Split Coast Stampers.
I cut a nestabilities shape with acetate and white card, then stamped the bird using black Stazon on to the acetate. Give it a few minutes to dry then turn it over, now drag or stipple with acrylic paint- I used Adirondack Dabbers. When it is covered completely, place the white card on the top of the paint and it will stick to it as long as you have put enough paint on. Then I just layered using Bazzill card and a patterned paper and lace.

Make & Take Friday 4th September
This week I used some lace on our Friday card, it seems to be very much in fashion at the moment and today we have Ruth Demonstrating using the lace and her sewing machine - not necessarily together though.
The stamp is from a new set by Prima just £2.59 here at the shop, I have stamped and embossed it with the border from the same set, I have coloured it with a tiny dab of Distress ink or Adirondack ink and a tiny spot of Cosmic Shimmer powder mixed together with your water brush. The background is a scrapbook paper that I have sponged with the same colour Distress inks and Adirondack inks which are Dusty Concord and Cranberry.
